Puerto Madero by Day
A short walk from our 'departamento' in Montserrat leads us right into Puerto Madero, it's directly on the Rio de la Plata and is the youngest and most affluent part of Buenos Aires.
Cranes line the docks as new construction rules in this part of the city and companies such as 3M, Mercedes-Benz and Microsoft all have offices here.
On the 'River Walk', there is no lack of restaurants, bars and clubs which cater to the masses of tourists, business people and club goers. There's even a T.G.I. Friday's and a Hooter's for those who need their fix of good ol' 'American' food and...wings.
We really have come to love this area because even though its located right next to Downtown, the barrio's multiple parks and Nature Reserve sweep you away from the cramped, crowded streets and offer a breath of fresh air.
Puerto Madero has a lot to do and see during the day and is a great departure from downtown, but at night this riverside barrio really comes to life!
