Through the Looking Glass #9: Refugio Frey
The excursion to Refugio Frey on our last day in Bariloche provided us some of the best views of the entire trip. The four hour hike up to this Refugio took us through winding trails and over wood bridges meant for only one person at a time. Once we reached the top, we faced a series of mountains called the 'Cathedral', named for the jagged, steeple like peaks that surround the shimmering lake below. Behind us was a canyon that had been carved out by a previously present glacier. Despite our short stay there at the Refugio, this place will forever stand out in our memories.
