Napa Remembered: Favorite Place for Dining, Drinking and Dancing
Last week we had an amazing going away party at one of our favorite restaurants in Napa and in the midst of all the Bon Voyages, we realized not just how much we were going to miss our amazing friends, but also, how much we were going to miss certain places. We thought we'd share some of our favorite restaurants, bars and local digs as we reminisce about our last 2 years as locals in the gritty underbelly of Napa Valley! Because they each deserve their own time in the spotlight, we'll talk about each place individually starting with the restaurant that inspired this idea.
This is where we took everyone who came to visit us and even had the previously mentioned Bon Voyage party. To say its one of our favorite spots is an understatement. It's a warm Italian place with modestly priced, delicious food (The prosciutto pizza is heaven on a pizza stone), fun cocktails, and live music.
Upbeat jazz bands play Wednesday through Sunday in the ample bar area and will draw quite a local crowd on weekends. We highly recommend sitting in the bar at a high-top table or stool as the atmosphere is way more fun and the full menu is available everywhere. You'll also have prime real estate for when the band and dancing really get going!
You can make reservations, but we usually just walked in and got a spot in minutes. The candles and white cloth topped tables give the restaurant a sultry, warm feeling, but its more fun than fancy. Pretty much any attire is acceptable; I wore heels and he wore a button down and jeans and we fit right in!
