Our 'Job' in Spain: Don't Hate Us 'Cuz Its Awesome!
So, now that we've moved onto Spain and have been hard at work for a few weeks, I think its time to explain exactly what our 'job' entails. For the last few weeks we have been busy little bees tasting, writing and reviewing Cavas from all over the Penedès wine region. Sometimes we bike to the wineries for our own visits, sometimes we lead bike tours for other oenophiles on the hunt for delicious Cavas, and sometimes we spend a full day in the 'office' typing it all up.
In between all that jazz, we cook up some traditional Spanish meals (a la Spanish Omelette and Pan Con Tomate), build stone paths and wood-piles, pick fruit and nuts from the orchards on property, play fútbol with our hosts and clean the house.
Yes, we're busy as mofo's, but as you probably already assume, we enjoy the work, AND earn a free place to stay, amazing education and top-notch wine and food in exchange!
